Train beyond the physical.

Since my childhood days flipping, galloping, tree climbing, wave rushing, and compulsively dancing, I've been fascinated by the way the body works - and, as I grew and observed, of the power of physical movement to cultivate and enhance mental and emotional health.  I’m especially interested in pushing back against the industries that discourage true body love. I deeply believe the world would be a better place if each person could love and accept their own unique, single-issue, one-for-a-lifetime body and enjoy it! Although I didn’t always know I wanted to be a personal trainer (my college degree is in psychology), I’ve devoted the past 3 decades to (certified) personal training and to studying everything “body,” especially anatomy, functional biomechanics, pain science, and neuroplasticity.

I'm a Master Trainer, tested and certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. “Master Trainer” means I have gone through rigorous competition and examination and have been deemed qualified to train other personal trainers. My other certifications include: Corrective Exercise, Performance Enhancement, Behavior Change, Golf Fitness, Human Movement, Adaptive Special Needs, Adaptive Special Needs Group Fitness, Thai Massage, and more.

I work with all bodies, life stages, and levels of activeness. My clients range from elite athletes to people taking the amazing first steps in their journey to become active. Whether your goal is to build strength, recover from injury, or simply to cultivate a deeper friendship with your body, I will work hard to help you get there! And I’ll make sure we both have fun in the process.
